Thrift Haul!

I haven't found very much thrifting lately...but I did score a few new things this weekend.

I love that jacket. It doesn't look like much, but it will be so cute on. The collar is adorable.

And of course as soon as I saw the pink floral skirt I scooped it up.

The gray plaid skirt is nice and stretchy and cozy. Would be kick ass with some heavy winter leggings, boots and an oversized sweater.

The skirt section never lets me down here.

I'll have a HUGE arcade post coming up soon! We traveled to Aomori again this weekend, and we came back with a few really good anime figures and plushes.

Until then, Happy Shopping!

Tiny, Tiny Sweets!

I made these last night from a few clay kits I picked up at the stationary store. I almost didn't buy them. So glad I did!

I think it's not too bad for my first attempt! Thinking of making a cell phone case. I can't find anything kawaii for an Galaxy S4...

Weekend Thrift Haul!

Small haul this weekend. We spent Saturday at a festival here in town, and Sunday we went to our usual weekend spots.

I got these at a re-sale shop in Hachinohe.

My favorite has to be that lace crop top. As usual, I saw it as I was leaving. I always find the best stuff when I'm not looking for it.

Happy shopping!

Thrifted!

So cute right? I found these at a thrift/re-sale shop this weekend. I fell in love.

Gotta love the shopping in Japan.

Happy shopping and thrifting to you!

Rilakkuma Watches Now in My Store!

While out and about this weekend I came across a vending machine with the cutest watches!

Rilakkuma!

Rilakkuma is a cute little bear character that is huge in Japan. (I'm sure you've seen him somewhere.) Rilakkuma translates to "relax bear", he loves to just chill. My kind of bear friend.

The summer collection this year is Rilakkuma Aloha, and it is so adorable. I've gotten quite a few items from this collection so far. You can find it it stores, vending machines, and in ufo catchers in arcades here.

When I saw these, I got extras. This is the kind of stuff I've always loved, but never really found anywhere. Things from arcade machines and vending machines aren't things you usually find outside of Japan, so I love bringing fans something different.

If you're a Rilakkuma fan and you want one, go check out my store!

New Jeffrey Campbell Pointe Platforms! Yay!

I just got these in the mail a few days ago, and I am so excited!

Jeffrey Campbell Pointe Platforms Black

These are leather with a Velcro strap, and super comfy. There's cushion there for sure, so it makes all that platform a little better.

I wobbled around in them for a bit around the house to get a feel for walking in them. I'm alright in heels, but these were a little difficult at first. I'll need some practice, truth-be-told. (If you trip in these babies, I fear for your ankles.)

I got mine in a size 8, and for me they were pretty true to size. I usually wear 7.5-8. My feet are slightly wide, and these fit comfortably.

I found these on Ebay here. Please check this seller out if you're interested in some Jeffrey Campbell. She's so sweet and it was an overall great shopping experience. I'm all about customer service having worked in retail for a long time, and they really appreciate their customers.

All in all, I'm so glad I found these. I've wanted a pair of Jeffrey Campbell for a while. Can't wait to use them in an Ootd!

Happy shopping!

Paul & Joe Lipstick! ❤

I've been wanting something (anything...) Paul & Joe for a long, long time.

A couple of days ago I finally went and bought some lipstick.

I hadn't ever really seen the makeup in person anywhere until we were strolling through Shimoda Mall one day and I saw a Paul & Joe display in a makeup store. I was stoked.

The sales woman was super sweet and helpful, even though we spoke pretty much none of the other's language. (We spoke the international language of 'I ❤ makeup') She let me try on the lipstick I picked out to make sure I liked it. And then. And THEN.

She said, "KAWAII!"

Sold. She said I was kawaii.

I didn't know, but the lipsticks sell as refills and the actual package or case for the refills are sold separately.

For both it was about $30.00.

She also gave me a few really cute samples. One of a primer and one of a powder.

So cute right? I love the packaging. This is shade 204.

The color is kind of sheer. It is from their range of natural finish lipsticks. Love the way it feels. Weightless.

Not sure why this looks so pink here. It looks a lot more like the color below.

Sheer orangey-peach.

So there you have it! New Paul & Joe.

Happy shopping! ❤

4th of July Nails!

I felt like I needed some flair. And I like to celebrate, ya know?

So I did my nails.

Look at that Texas flag nail. BOOM. Reppin' all day. ^_-
I threw a little pearl and a puffy heart sticker on them as well.

THEN.

Bear said, "Let me do your other hand." He's a terrific painter. He paints Warhammer models. (They're part of a table top strategy game.) If you want to see, check his Instagram out.

He did a little set-up.

How adorable is that?! He is so sweet.
He had some trouble at the beginning, but he really got the hang of it.

Here's his version.

I used:
Revlon Colorstay in 180 Indigo Night.
I loved this color and formula. One coat got a good color and it was so smooth going on. The color was a really great flag color.
Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in White Out.
This was really opaque but a little harder to work with. It can get a little sticky if you aren't super quick.  Still, the best white I've used. It gets the job done without 3 coats.
OPI Red my Fortune Cookie
This has to be the prettiest red I have ever seen. It's bright, but not too bright. It's red, but not too deep. It's such a lovely color. I didn't know if it would be okay for this look. It looked a little orange-y in the bottle, but it turned out great. It is just so gorgeous on. The formula is of course, great. Nice and smooth.
Seche Vite Dry Fast Topcoat
Love this stuff. But, I don't think it dries super fast. Once dry, it's the best. You can get this at Sally's Beauty Supply.
BW Brand glitter polish
I got this at the Fantasy Dome Mall here in Japan. I'm not sure where you could get this anywhere else. It's clear with round confetti and small silver holographic glitter.

Hope you like the look!

Happy shopping. (And happy painting.)

Funding the obsession.

I was cruising tumblr the other day and came across a girl selling her thrift finds.

I was happy to see it.

It means people actually do it!

She stressed her shop is a hobby, and I understand that completely. I see things all the time that I love and want to share with people.

So I decided to do the same.

If you liked the Dr. Martens from my last post, they have turned out to be a big snug on me. So there they are, in my store.

Check it out in the side bar, or click addictedtojapan.storenvy.com!

Happy shopping!

Dr. Martens thrifted!

Found these at a thrift shop in Misawa.

They have a little bit of melted glue business going on inside, but they are in super condition.

So cute.

Happy shopping.

Eichi Matsunaga Nails!

These are so cute! There were 4 or 5 really, really awesome styles, but I'm a sucker for anything with a sugar skull, and these seemed so fun! (And reminded me so much of Texas.)

I purchased these at my favorite beauty place in the Fantasy Dome Mall in Hachinohe.

These came with sticky-pad gel adhesives for each individual nail. They stay on fairly well, (better than any other press-on nail I've used), but these still don't stick well enough for anything more than a day or two. I wouldn't do anything "heavy" with these on for sure. They might be a different story with regular nail glue, but I'm not sure.

I wanted to link a place online that you would be able to purchase these, but I haven't found any site in English that carry them. I tried the obvious Amazon and Ebay, but no luck. However, if you want to venture to Amazon.jp, here is a link for a different style. http://www.amazon.co.jp/ウイングビート-EICHI-MATSUNAGA-nail-chip/dp/B00BXZFMGS

Pastel nails!

Here are a few things from the haul in Hachinohe! <3

Love that this came with a double sided dot tool! I had been thinking of buying one from Amazon, but never got around to it. As soon as I saw this I was sold.

This is a polish from the huge rack of polish in the last post. There was so much to choose from, but this finish caught my eye. Each polish on the rack was swatched, so it was easy to choose. I wish they would do that everywhere!

I also found this little kawaii pack! The picture suckered me in even though I had my doubts about being able to get a good result. But...

I think it turned out alright! This also came in a few different color combos, and I'm definitely going back for the rest!

And last but not least, I found these perfect lashes! These are so wispy, and I think they'll look amazing on. Plus, they have a thin base. The thinner the band the easier they are to put on!

The best part of this haul? Each of these were pretty inexpensive. The most expensive item was the polish with the dot tool. It was around $6.50.

Can't wait to post on the rest of the results!

Happy shopping!

Nail Heaven is here in Japan.

Just went to the Fantasy Dome Mall in Hachinohe. It has a magical store full of beauty wonderment.

More specifically, it has the best selection of nail polish and supplies for nail art I have ever seen.

Behold.

So kawaii.
Maybelline display in Japan.

I did buy a few things, so a haul will be coming soon.
