What do you wear to Tokyo?

It's funny what a few hours in Tokyo will do to a person. You loosen up. You catch the vibe. Shibuya is that perfect mix of Seattle casual meets big city hustle and bustle. The vibe is bright, busy and modern. It's got New York's flavor with the sweetness of the Japanese custom for consideration and politeness.

It's the coolest place I've ever been.

Harajuku was the agenda of the day, and I wanted to be part of that world. So I put together a shopping outfit that was 100% me in Japan. The heat was pretty stifling, but the pain in my feet was worse. After having already walked all day for 2 days, my feet were begging for flats. Not just flats, sneakers. Not just sneakers, fluffy cloud shoes sent from the shopping gods. But I wore these anyway.

Because I had waited 10 years to get there. And like hell I was going to wear any shoes but exactly the ones I felt the grandest in.

So what do you wear to Tokyo? Whatever you want. You'll be inspired everyday by the way the Japanese wear clothes. Differently, without apology. There will be casual to whatever you can think of, and it was that way every single place we went, from Shibuya to Harajuku to Akihabara. So be yourself. There is no city in the world as accommodating.

My Holy Grail Face Scrub ❤ Laura Mercier Face Polish

This stuff is amazing.

I got it as a sample from Sephora a while ago and took some on vacation with me to Houston. I happened to forget any other face wash (typical pack-at-the-last-second me) and I used the tiny sample for a week with extremely impressive results.

After hot, humid summer weather wreaked havoc on my made up face all day long, this stuff took it all off and left my skin feeling amazing at night. My skin was super soft after using it just once. My face survived on just this stuff for a whole week, and all from a tiny sample bottle.

I happily went to Sephora.com to purchase more and was taken aback a little by the cost for a full size, but having fallen in love (and being seriously close to becoming VIB), I ordered it anyway. When it arrived, I was pleasantly surprised again. The bottle is huge, and it's going to last me quite a long time.

So if you have seriously sensitive skin like mine, and you're in the market for a face scrub that won't break you out, irritate your skin, or dry it out, give this a shot. It's worth it.

Packing light? Nah.

Sadly, I'm not going to be attending Fashion Week in NYC this year. But this is what I would pack if I could.

An easy color scheme makes it easy to mix and match for the week. I included a lot of items I've been coveting from Polyvore. In my dreams, this would also be my fall wardrobe...

The full list of items and where they can be purchased is after the jump.

Packing light? Nah.

How to Wear Berry Lipsticks for Fall

Berry Fresh Fall

It can be tricky and intimidating to wear berry shades, but there's a color and texture out there for everyone.

I love a matte lip, and in my opinion it's the easiest to wear. A matte looks a bit more casual and laid back. If you don't usually wear dark or very bright shades, try a matte. You just might love it.

Already love a dark lip color? Try a lip gloss over your lipstick and give it a patent leather look.

Daytime look:
Try wearing it with a thin line of eyeliner, mascara, and an eyeshadow color that's close to your own skin tone. Make sure to shape and fill your eyebrow. It will frame your face for the pop of color on your lips.

Nighttime look:
Go for a smokey eye with dark brown shades instead of black. Keep the shimmer and face highlights to a minimum. That keeps the look easy to wear.
